Tu voto, tu libertad

Este 1 de junio no es una elección más.
Es una elección única en el mundo: por primera vez, los ciudadanos mexicanos elegiremos directamente a los ministros de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación, quienes durante 12 años decidirán si las leyes que nos gobiernan respetan o no la Constitución.
¿Y por qué importa? Porque la Constitución es el manual de operación del país. Gracias a ella sabemos que el poder lo tiene el pueblo, que tenemos libertad de expresión, de pensamiento, de religión. Gracias a ella existen tus derechos.
Elegir mal —o peor, no elegir— puede abrir la puerta a ministros sin preparación, sin ética y sin compromiso con México. Ellos podrían permitir abusos de poder, leyes injustas o decisiones que nos afecten a todos.
Son 64 candidatos (33 mujeres y 31 hombres), pero solo 9 serán electos. Y ahí entra tu responsabilidad.
Votar no es un acto político, es un acto de defensa personal. Es por ti, por tus hijos, por el país que quieres seguir teniendo.

The Roar of the Lion
This June 1st is not just another election.
It is a unique election in the world: for the first time, Mexican citizens will directly elect the justices of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, who for 12 years will decide whether the laws that govern us respect the Constitution or not.
And why does it matter? Because the Constitution is the country’s operating manual. Thanks to it, we know that the power lies with the people, that we have freedom of expression, thought, and religion. Thanks to it, your rights exist.
Choosing poorly – or worse, not choosing – can open the door to unprepared, unethical, and uncommitted ministers for Mexico. They could allow abuses of power, unjust laws, or decisions that affect us all.
There are 64 candidates (33 women and 31 men), but only 9 will be elected. And that’s where your responsibility comes in.
Voting is not a political act, it is an act of personal defense. It’s for you, for your children, for the country you want to continue having.
