Trump, BRICS y el nuevo orden mundial: ¿Está México listo para sobrevivir sin Estados Unidos?

Trump amenaza con subir aranceles al 30%. Pero no es una medida económica: es una estrategia geopolítica. Busca mostrarse como el hombre fuerte ante un mundo que ya no obedece a Washington. Mientras tanto, el bloque BRICS crece, incorpora a Arabia Saudita, Irán, Egipto y más, y ya supera al G7 en PIB global (32% vs 30%).
Se discute una moneda digital respaldada por oro. El 70% de sus nuevos miembros ya comercia sin dólares. El viejo orden se tambalea.
México depende de EE.UU. en 80% de sus exportaciones. En Quintana Roo, el 89% del turismo internacional es norteamericano. Si EE.UU. se cierra, ¿quién nos compra, ¿quién nos visita, ¿quién nos invierte?
La oportunidad está en voltear al sur y al este. BRICS no es solo economía: es una corriente global de soberanía, producción y comercio entre iguales. Si Quintana Roo abre rutas con India, China, Brasil o Emiratos, si crea un parque industrial y logístico en Puerto Morelos o Chetumal, podría reconvertirse en hub estratégico del nuevo Sur Global.
Brasil está llamado a liderar América Latina. Si México no actúa, lo verá pasar. Pero si se adapta, puede ser el puente entre continentes, mercados y civilizaciones.
Trump no amenaza a México. Amenaza al viejo mundo.
BRICS no es futuro. Ya es presente.
Y Quintana Roo puede liderar… o quedarse atrás.

Trump threatens to raise tariffs to 30%. But it’s not an economic measure: it’s a geopolitical strategy. He seeks to show himself as the strong man in a world that no longer obeys Washington. Meanwhile, the BRICS bloc grows, incorporating Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, and more, and already surpasses the G7 in global GDP (32% vs 30%).
A digital currency backed by gold is being discussed. 70% of its new members already trade without dollars. The old order is faltering.
Mexico depends on the U.S. for 80% of its exports. In Quintana Roo, 89% of international tourism is American. If the U.S. closes, who will buy from us, who will visit us, who will invest in us?
The opportunity lies in turning to the south and east. BRICS is not just about economy: it is a global movement of sovereignty, production, and trade among equals. If Quintana Roo opens routes with India, China, Brazil, or the Emirates, if it creates an industrial and logistics park in Puerto Morelos or Chetumal, it could become a strategic hub of the new Global South.
Brazil is called to lead Latin America. If Mexico does not act, it will see it pass by. But if it adapts, it can be the bridge between continents, markets, and civilizations.
Trump is not threatening Mexico. He is threatening the old world.
BRICS is not the future. It is already the present.
And Quintana Roo can lead… or fall behind.
