En un mundo con 195 países, México ocupa hoy la posición 15 entre las economías globales. Somos el punto donde el Norte industrial se cruza con el Sur emergente, y el reto ya no es resistir, sino avanzar.
Si hacemos las cosas bien, para el 2050 podríamos alcanzar la octava economía del planeta, con un PIB cercano a cinco billones de dólares y más de 20 millones de nuevos empleos formales.
¿Cómo se logra? Con educación técnica, energía limpia, seguridad, innovación y visión de largo plazo. Entendiendo que el desarrollo no se mide solo en pesos o dólares, sino en bienestar, justicia y sustentabilidad.
Lo que no debemos hacer es seguir postergando las decisiones difíciles: frenar la corrupción, reducir la desigualdad y depender del azar político o del turismo de volumen.
México ya tiene las piezas. Desde el Caribe, un polo logístico puede unir Norteamérica con el Caribe y Centroamérica; en el sur, un corredor tecnológico puede detonar empleos e innovación; y en el norte turístico, el modelo verde puede duplicar ingresos sin dañar el entorno.
Con estos tres motores, el país podría sostener un crecimiento de 4 % anual, sumar medio punto al PIB mundial y convertirse en el ejemplo latinoamericano de crecimiento inteligente.
El futuro no se conquista soñando, sino construyendo. Y México ya comenzó a hacerlo.

We stand where the industrial North meets the emerging South — and the challenge is no longer to endure, but to advance.
If we stay the course, by 2050 Mexico could rise to become the eighth-largest economy on Earth, with a GDP of nearly five trillion dollars and over 20 million new formal jobs.
How do we get there?
Through technical education, clean energy, security, innovation, and long-term vision.
True development is not measured only in pesos or dollars, but in well-being, justice, and sustainability.
What we must not do is postpone the difficult decisions: confronting corruption, narrowing inequality, and depending on political chance or mass tourism alone.
Mexico already holds the pieces of its transformation.
A logistic corridor can link North America with Central America and the Caribbean; a southern technological belt can drive employment and innovation; and a new sustainable tourism model can double revenues without harming nature.
With these three engines, the country could sustain 4% annual growth, add half a percentage point to global GDP, and become Latin America’s leading example of intelligent, sustainable progress.
The future is not conquered by dreaming, but by building.
And Mexico has already begun.
